Best AI stock scanners and day trading scanners in 2026

Most "best AI stock scanner" lists are written by vendors or by sites that earn referral fees, and they rarely say what a plan cannot do. This roundup compares seven tools on things you can check: how fresh the data is, how much filtering you control, whether there is AI in the product, which alerts and brokers connect, and what it costs. We make Tradewink, and it is on the list; it is also the one entry that is not a market-wide scanner. Every price and limit below was read from the vendor's own pages on October 10, 2026.

Vendor details checked against each vendor's own pages on . Tradewink details from its public plan data.

Each tool: what it does and where it is not the right fit

1. Trade Ideas

Best for: Real-time intraday scanning with AI signals, if the price fits

Trade Ideas sells a real-time scanning and charting platform. Its pricing page lists Standard with real-time data, customizable scans and screeners, 500+ data points for alerts and filters, price alerts, and real-time paper trading with in-app trading. Premium adds "1st Gen AI Signals", backtesting, Smart Risk Levels and Auto Trading.

Where it works well

  • Real-time scanning with 500+ data points for filters and alerts on the entry plan
  • AI signals, backtesting and Auto Trading sit in the same product on Premium
  • Order entry from scans through Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, TradeStation or E*TRADE

Where it is not the right fit

  • Budget is tight: the cheapest paid plan is $127 a month on monthly billing, and AI signals need the $254 plan
  • You want written reasoning behind each idea: its pricing page does not describe it
  • You hold for days or weeks and do not need intraday speed

2. Finviz Elite

Best for: Low-cost screening, maps and alerts without a trading platform

Finviz is a screener, chart and market-map site. Its Elite page lists real-time quotes, advanced screener filters, unlimited saved presets, a 10-second screener auto-refresh, unlimited alerts, data export and a 12-chart layout. The regular version is listed with delayed quotes, basic filters, 50 presets, a 3-minute refresh and no alerts.

Where it works well

  • Lowest listed monthly price among the paid scanners here
  • A free version is enough to build and test a screen before paying
  • Maps and quick filters make it easy to see what is moving across a sector

Where it is not the right fit

  • The Elite page does not list AI signals, backtesting or order automation
  • You need to place orders from the scanner: no broker connection is listed
  • You want custom formulas rather than preset filters

Read from: Finviz Elite (October 10, 2026)

3. TC2000

Best for: Custom scan formulas on a charting platform with a low entry price

TC2000 is a charting and scanning platform with an affiliated brokerage. Its pricing page lists Basic with real-time U.S. stocks from Nasdaq Basic, Premium with real-time scanning and sorting, the EasyScan Wizard, personal criteria formulas and 100 alerts, and a top tier with streaming scans (up to 5 at once) and 1,000 alerts.

Where it works well

  • Custom criteria formulas and a wizard for building scans
  • Real-time U.S. stock data is included from the entry plan
  • Alert capacity scales to 1,000 on the top tier

Where it is not the right fit

  • Basic does not list scanning or alerts, so the useful plan starts at $49.99
  • You want AI-generated ideas: none are listed on the pricing page
  • You need options, index or consolidated-tape data: each is a separate paid monthly add-on

Read from: TC2000 pricing (October 10, 2026)

4. TrendSpider

Best for: Automated chart analysis, scheduled scans and no-code backtests

TrendSpider is an automated technical-analysis and charting platform. Its pricing page lists scheduled scans, alerts, backtests, trading bots, a Sidekick AI assistant (25 messages a month on every plan) and a connection to 30+ brokerages and crypto exchanges through a free SignalStack account.

Where it works well

  • Scan, alert, backtest and bot limits are printed per plan, so you can size one
  • Backtests and bots are built into the same platform as scans
  • Real-time U.S. equity data is listed as included for non-professional users

Where it is not the right fit

  • You want a free plan: the trial itself is paid
  • You scan intraday on the Standard plan: its minimum scanning timeframe is 2 hours
  • You want the lowest ongoing price: listed rates after the first year start at $59 a month

Read from: TrendSpider pricing (October 10, 2026)

5. TradingView

Best for: Screening next to charts, scripts and a large community, with a free plan

TradingView is a charting, screening and scripting platform. Its pricing page lists a free Basic plan with 3 price alerts and paid plans with more alerts, and its features page lists screeners for stocks, ETFs and crypto, up to 16 charts per screen, 400+ indicators, Pine Script, paper trading and trading from charts through 100+ brokers.

Where it works well

  • A usable free plan and the lowest paid entry price on this list ($12.95 a month, billed annually)
  • Charts, screeners, alerts and Pine Script in one place
  • Large library of community scripts and ideas

Where it is not the right fit

  • You want ranked ideas handed to you: the screener returns what matches the conditions you write
  • You trade intraday and need exchange-level real-time data: it is a paid add-on
  • You want to pay monthly: the prices shown are annual-billing rates

6. Tickeron

Best for: AI pattern search and robot-based ideas, if you can live with unpublished pricing

Tickeron's homepage lists AI trading robots, daily buy and sell signals (end-of-day alerts for stocks and ETFs), an AI pattern search engine, AI real-time patterns for intraday pattern scanning, an AI stock screener and an AI trend prediction engine.

Where it works well

  • Broadest AI menu here: patterns, robots, screener and trend prediction
  • Intraday pattern scanning is a named product
  • Free-try entry points for two of its tools

Where it is not the right fit

  • You need to know the price, delay or limits before you start: they were not stated on the pages we read
  • You want one clear workflow: the product menu is wide, so check which product you would actually pay for
  • You need confirmed broker connections: we could not verify them

Read from: Tickeron home page (October 10, 2026)

7. Tradewink

Best for: Reading written signals for a short watchlist; not market-wide scanning

Tradewink is the product we make: a watchlist-first signal service. You add the tickers you follow and it publishes signals for currently enabled signal types, each with entry, stop, target and written reasoning, plus paper tracking. It works on your watchlist; it is not a screen where you set filters and see every match across the market.

Where it works well

  • Each signal arrives with entry, stop, target and written reasoning to review
  • A free plan with no credit card, and a 7-day Starter trial
  • Paper tracking of a reviewed decision, so you can check it before risking money

Where it is not the right fit

  • You want to set your own filters and see every market-wide match: use a scanner from this list
  • You need charts, drawing tools or scripting: it is not a charting platform
  • You need intraday data on the free plan: it is delayed 15 minutes, and real-time starts on Starter
  • You want live order routing from a public plan: public subscriptions are paper-only

How this list was built

We listed tools that appear on current "best stock scanner" and "best AI day trading software" results and that publish plan details we could read. Each was read from its own pricing or product pages, not from reviews. Where a vendor did not state a price, a delay or a limit, the table says so instead of guessing. Entries are ordered by the job they do, not by a score, and nothing here rates a tool's results: we do not know how any scanner's ideas have performed for you, and none of these pages promise it.

Left out because we could not verify it

  • Benzinga Pro: its pricing page returned HTTP 403 to automated fetch on October 10, 2026, so we state no price or limit for it. Our dated Benzinga comparison explains what we could and could not verify.
  • thinkorswim: Schwab's product page returned an authorization error to automated fetch on October 10, 2026, so we state nothing about its scanner here.
  • Danelfin: its pricing page returned HTTP 403 to automated fetch on October 10, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI stock scanner?

There is no single best one; it depends on whether you need real-time scanning across the whole market, a low price, or something to review a short watchlist. Among the tools here, Trade Ideas lists AI signals, backtesting and Auto Trading, but only on its $254 a month Premium plan. TrendSpider and Tickeron also describe AI features on their pages, and TradingView's pricing page lists AI screener requests. The Finviz Elite page lists none. Compare the data delay and plan limits first, and test on delayed data or paper before you pay.

Are there free stock scanners for day trading?

Yes, with limits. Finviz's regular version and TradingView's Basic plan are free, and Trade Ideas offers a free account that shows data delayed by 15 minutes. Delayed data is workable for building a watchlist and learning a scan, but it is not what you want for intraday entries. Finviz lists real-time quotes and a 10-second refresh on Elite at $39.50 a month.

Do I need real-time data to use a day trading scanner?

For intraday entries, yes: a scanner that shows prices a minute or fifteen minutes old can list setups that have already moved. For planning the next session, reviewing ideas after the close, or learning how a scan behaves, delayed data is fine. The table lists each tool's data latency as its own pages state it.

Is Tradewink a stock scanner?

Not in the sense of Trade Ideas or Finviz. Tradewink works on a watchlist you build and publishes signals with entry, stop, target and written reasoning for currently enabled signal types. It does not give you a screen to set your own filters and see every match across the market, and it is not a charting platform. Many people pair a scanner with a signal-review tool; neither requires the other.

Can a stock scanner place trades for me?

Some can. Trade Ideas lists Auto Trading on Premium and connects to Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, TradeStation and E*TRADE, and TrendSpider connects to 30+ brokerages through SignalStack. Automated orders carry real risk, including fills that differ from what a scan showed. Public subscriptions are paper-only; separately approved private beta accounts may submit live broker orders.

How current are the prices on this page?

Every vendor price, delay and limit was read from the vendor's own pages on October 10, 2026, and each is linked under Sources. Vendors change plans and run promotions often, so confirm on the vendor's page before you buy. If something here is out of date, use the report link at the top of the page.
