An autonomous trading agent that runs your broker
Tradewink is a non-custodial autonomous AI trading agent. It scans markets 24/7, forms opinions with multi-agent AI debate, and executes directly through your broker — Alpaca, Tradier, IBKR, Schwab, Webull, TradeStation, Moomoo, tastytrade, and more. You stay in control. The agent does the work.
What makes it "autonomous"?
Most "AI trading bots" are rule engines dressed up in AI marketing. They fire on a single indicator, ignore context, and break the moment the market regime shifts. Tradewink's autonomous agent is different by construction: it is a composition of 75+ concurrent async loops that each specialize in a slice of the market — price, news, options flow, SEC filings, dark pool prints, prediction markets — feeding a central event bus that reacts in real time.
When a candidate opportunity surfaces, the agent runs a multi-model AI debate (Claude, GPT, Gemini) before opening a position. One model argues the bull case. Another argues the bear case. A third scores conviction on a 0–100 scale. Only trades that clear the consensus gate are sent to the executor. This is agentic behavior — reasoning over context, not matching a rule.
The agent also learns. Every closed trade is post-mortemed by a reflection loop that extracts lessons — what the agent got right, what it got wrong, what regime it was wrong in. Those lessons are stored and pulled into the conviction score on future trades. The agent is strictly better on Tuesday than it was on Monday.
Core capabilities
Multi-agent AI debate
Bull, bear, and conviction scorer debate every candidate before execution.
Regime-aware execution
HMM-based regime detection gates position sizing and exits.
Risk manager with teeth
Daily loss circuit breaker, position limits, PDT enforcement, confidence gate.
Real-time event streams
Alpaca WS bars, Finnhub news, SEC EDGAR filings — all flowing through priority queue.
Adaptive strategies
Momentum, mean-reversion, breakout, VWAP, ORB — picked by regime and ticker profile.
Self-improving loop
Trade reflections feed future conviction scoring — the agent learns from its own trades.
Non-custodial by design
You hold the funds. Your broker keys are Fernet-encrypted and revocable.
Smart order execution
VWAP/TWAP slicing on large orders, broker-native stops, reconcile on every fill.
How it works
- 1
Connect your broker
Register your broker API keys inside Tradewink. Keys are encrypted and stored non-custodially — we never hold your funds.
- 2
Set your rules
Configure max position size, daily loss cap, excluded tickers, and the strategies you want the agent to run.
- 3
Agent scans 24/7
75+ concurrent loops monitor stocks, options, crypto, prediction markets, news, filings, and options flow — reacting in real time.
- 4
Multi-agent AI debate
Before every trade, a team of AI models scores conviction, debates bull vs bear, and only trades when the consensus is strong.
- 5
Risk-checked execution
The risk manager enforces your limits, the smart executor slices large orders via VWAP/TWAP, and the agent submits to your broker.
- 6
Learns from every trade
Closed trades feed a self-improving reflection loop — lessons are stored and used to score future conviction.
Autonomous agent vs trading bot
| Capability | Traditional trading bot | Tradewink agent |
|---|---|---|
| Decision model | Fixed rules (RSI < 30, etc.) | Multi-model AI debate over full context |
| Context awareness | Single signal | Price + news + filings + flow + regime |
| Regime adaptation | Breaks on regime change | HMM regime detection + re-debate |
| Risk management | Hard-coded stops | Risk manager, circuit breaker, PDT, per-user limits |
| Learning | None | Post-trade reflection, lessons stored, fed forward |
| Custody | Often custodial | Non-custodial — you hold the broker account |
Frequently asked questions
What is an autonomous trading agent?
An autonomous trading agent is a software system that continuously monitors markets, identifies opportunities, forms a decision, and executes trades without human intervention on every step. Tradewink runs 75+ concurrent async loops across data ingestion, AI analysis, risk management, and execution — reacting to price movement, news, filings, and options flow in real time.
How is an autonomous agent different from a trading bot?
A traditional trading bot follows a fixed rule set — buy if RSI < 30, sell if price crosses SMA. An autonomous agent reasons over context. Tradewink's agent weighs technicals, news sentiment, regime detection, options flow, and SEC filings, then runs a multi-model AI debate before opening a position. It also updates its own playbook over time by learning from closed trades.
Who controls the broker account?
You do. Tradewink is non-custodial — it never holds your funds. You register your own broker API keys (Alpaca, Tradier, IBKR, Schwab, Webull, TradeStation, Moomoo, tastytrade, and more) and the agent executes directly into your account. Keys are encrypted with Fernet/PBKDF2 and can be revoked at any time.
Can I set risk limits and position size caps?
Yes. Every user can configure 50+ trading preferences — max position size, daily loss limit, excluded tickers, excluded sectors, max trades per hour, PDT enforcement, micro-account mode for sub-$1,000 accounts, and regime-adjusted sizing. The agent's risk manager enforces these before any order is submitted.
What happens during a market regime change?
The agent runs a Hidden Markov Model over SPY returns to detect regime transitions (bull/bear/chop). When regime flips intraday, it triggers an AI bull/bear debate on each open position — positions that no longer fit the new regime get closed, new opportunities get scored against the updated context.
Is an autonomous trading agent safe?
Safety depends on the guardrails. Tradewink ships safety-first defaults: trading disabled, paper mode on, confirmation required, daily loss circuit breaker, position limits, PDT rule enforcement, and an audit log of every action. You explicitly enable live trading per broker. No trade happens without your initial authorization.
