How to Link Tradewink Signals to Discord as a Free User

Link a Free Tradewink Signals account to Discord with /billing-status, a one-time dashboard code, and /link-account.

Free Tradewink Signals accounts can be linked to Discord. You do not need to start a paid subscription or enter payment details to create a link code. The short code simply proves which Signals Dashboard account you want to connect to the Discord account running the command.

This guide explains the two supported paths, how to recover from an expired code, and what the Free plan includes after the link is complete.

First, check whether Discord is already linked

In the Tradewink Discord server, run /billing-status. This checks the plan associated with your Discord account. If you originally signed in through Discord, the account may already be connected and no code is needed.

If the response says your account is linked, you are done. Use /billing-status whenever you want to confirm the current plan. Do not generate a second code unless Discord tells you that the account is not linked.

Get a one-time code from the Signals Dashboard

If your Discord account is not linked, sign in to the website and open Signals Dashboard → Discord. Select Get one-time code. The dashboard creates a short code for the currently signed-in account.

The code has two important limits:

  • It is valid for 15 minutes.
  • It can be used once. After a successful link, it is removed.

A code does not upgrade your plan, start a checkout, or give Discord access to your password. It only connects the dashboard account you authenticated with to the Discord account that redeems it.

Redeem the code in Discord

Return to a channel where the Tradewink bot is available and run /link-account, providing the one-time code when Discord prompts for it. The bot confirms the connection privately. Once it succeeds, the Discord account is associated with the same Tradewink Signals tier shown in the dashboard.

If the command reports that the code is invalid or expired, return to Signals Dashboard → Discord, select Get one-time code again, and redeem the new one promptly. You do not need /subscribe to fix an expired code.

What Free users should expect

The Free plan is a sampler designed to let you evaluate the signals workflow before deciding whether a paid tier fits your needs. It includes up to three delayed signals per day across the Free signal types. Paid tiers expand the available coverage and provide real-time delivery.

Treat every signal as educational market information, not as an instruction to trade. Check the supporting context, consider your own risk limits, and decide independently whether an idea fits your plan. A linked Discord account makes delivery more convenient; it does not make any market outcome certain.

Quick troubleshooting checklist

  • No code was entered: Run /billing-status in Discord first. If the account is not linked, create a code from Signals Dashboard → Discord.
  • Code expired: Codes last 15 minutes. Generate a new one and redeem it once.
  • Already linked: Follow the result of /billing-status; avoid linking a different account accidentally.
  • Command unavailable: Make sure you are in the Tradewink Discord server and can see the Tradewink bot commands.
  • Still stuck: Contact Tradewink support with the email on the Signals account and your Discord username. Never send passwords, API keys, or one-time codes to anyone claiming to provide support.

A secure, no-upgrade-required connection

The safe path is simple: check /billing-status, obtain a one-time code only when needed, then use /link-account in Discord. Free accounts are supported throughout that flow, and an expired code should be replaced rather than worked around.

Frequently asked questions

How do I start using AI trading signals?

Create a free Tradewink account, pick the markets you care about, and signals start arriving in Discord or the web dashboard. You do not need a broker connected to receive or study signals — connecting one is a separate, optional step for execution. Most people spend the first few weeks reading signals and paper trading them before risking capital.

Do I need to connect a broker to use Tradewink?

No. Signals, analysis and the dashboard work without a broker. A broker connection only matters if you want Tradewink to place orders for you. When you do connect one, the API keys are encrypted and stored per user, and the account stays in your name at your broker — Tradewink never takes custody of funds.

Is paper trading worth doing first?

Yes, and it is the default. Paper mode lets you see how a strategy behaves through a few different market regimes before real money is exposed, and it surfaces the practical problems — bad fills, gap risk, position sizes that feel fine on paper and terrifying live. Trading is disabled by default in Tradewink for exactly this reason.

How do AI trading bots work?

They screen a universe of tickers for measurable conditions (volume, volatility, momentum, gaps, news), rank the survivors, size a position against your risk limits, and either alert you or send the order to a broker. The AI layer scores conviction and writes the rationale; deterministic risk rules decide what is actually permitted to trade.

How much money do I need to start?

Enough that a single loss at your risk-per-trade setting is a real number but not a painful one. Tradewink has a micro-account mode for balances under $1,000 that uses fractional shares and tighter concentration limits. Be aware of the US pattern day trader rule: under $25,000 in a margin account you are limited to three day trades in any rolling five business days.

Is AI trading profitable?

It is not a guarantee, and treating it as one is how accounts get damaged. AI helps with consistency, coverage and discipline; it does not remove market risk or transaction costs. Evaluate any service on published resolved outcomes across winners and losers, and size positions on the assumption that a losing streak is coming.
